Give employees tax-free meal cards they can use widely.
What to look for
- The limit went up. From 1 April 2026 the tax-free meal limit is ₹200 per meal (it was ₹50), worth revisiting if you dropped meal cards.
- Check where cards work. Restaurants, food courts, grocery and delivery apps.
- Look at the admin. Card issue, monthly loading and replacements should not land on HR.
